The Castle Hotel Windsor has announced the appointment of Suhas Lokhande as its new pastry chef.
Lokhande brings with 14 years of professional patisserie experience having held positions at an array of prestigious organisations.
He was most recently senior chef de partie at Wolseley Hospitality and pastry chef at International Baking Company.
He has been appointed by the hotel with a remit to improve its Royal Afternoon Tea offering.
Lokhande said: “The Royal Afternoon tea has long been a favourite amongst visitors to the area, locals and hotel guests, and my aim is to add further stories, flair and delicious sweet treats to the menu to keep the tea as one of the best in Windsor. I’m incredibly proud of the improvements to the children’s afternoon tea too which have already been very well received by our younger guests.”
Sam Goss, general manager, added: “We are delighted to welcome Suhas to the team to help us solidify our position as the top spot for afternoon teas in Windsor in the heart of town. His creative pastries and desserts are already going down a storm and we are seeing a great increase in our afternoon tea guests as a result.”
