Tewkesbury Park has announced the promotion of Samantha Birch to the position of hotel manager.

The promotion comes almost 11 years to the day since Birch joined the hotel.

The firm said Birchhas “extensive knowledge” in all facets of business and operational management and her journey with Tewkesbury Park has been marked by her role as sales team manager for the past five years.

According to Tewkesbury Park, Birch brings a “first-hand understanding of the resort’s evolution, having been a part of the hotel since its new owners took over the business”.

The McIntosh family acquired Tewkesbury Park in 2014 and undertook a complete renovation and restoration project.

The hotel now features an 18-hole golf course, meetings and events space, suites and the Berkeley Bar and Terrace

Birch said: “I’m thrilled to take on this new role as hotel manager at Tewkesbury Park. With a passionate team by my side and the McIntosh family’s unwavering support, I am excited to further enhance our guest journey, ensuring that our resort offers memorable experiences with first class hospitality.”

Patrick Jones, Tewkesbury Park’s general manager, said: “Samantha’s promotion to hotel manager is a reflection of her dedication, leadership and immense contribution to our continued success. Having witnessed her significant role in the hotel’s journey over the years, we are confident that Samantha’s vision, coupled with her exceptional operational insights, will further enhance the guest experience.
