Your Apartment launches fourth collection in London

In this episode we speak to Nico Tréguer, co-founder of Roberts and Treguer and The Culpeper Family. Nico spoke about founding the group alongside his longtime friend Gareth, having had a vision for bringing more nature spaces to cities, the planned extension of The Buxton in Spitalfields, and how the site’s storytelling engages guests and the local community, how the Culpeper Family’s core sustainability ethos helped it secure its B-Corp status and why hospitality has a responsibility to educate and innovate when it comes to sustainability.

Serviced apartment and aparthotel provider, Your Apartment, has continued its expansion with the launch of its fourth collection of serviced apartments in Tooting.

The 13 new studio and two-bedroom apartments join its growing portfolio of aparthotel-style properties in London, joining Your Apartment’s Brixton, Shepherd’s Bush and Old Kent Road sites.

Your Apartment – Tooting has six “playfully categorised” apartments, each celebrating both the local area and distinctive design influences from the 1970s.

Those staying on a short-medium stay basis can choose from either an ‘Uptown’, ‘Downtown’, ‘Market’ or ‘Suburban’ Studio. Uptown and Downtown have unique features such as ornate cast iron fireplaces, hardwood flooring and window seats overlooking the High Street. The Market and Suburban Studios have all the same amenities as Uptown and Downtown but are a few square feet smaller.

The last two categories are ‘The Broadway’, an Open Plan 1 Bed with a sunken kitchen/dining area and ‘The Bec’, which is the largest apartment with two-bedrooms, a separate living and dining area and a fully equipped kitchen.

Each apartment features stocked kitchenettes stocked with essentials, and appliances include a Panasonic microwave oven, SMEG kettle and toaster, portable hob and refrigerator with freezer storage.

Co-founder of Your Apartment, Toby Guest, said: “We agreed the lease on the Tooting site not that long after we launched our first site in Brixton. Since then, we have been working closely with the landlord to transform the property into apartments which would not only appeal to the business or leisure traveller but also capitalise on the rising number of international digital nomads working from anywhere.

“Our talented design team have worked around the clock to fulfil this brief, and we are confident we have achieved it whilst also including many of the ornate and listed features in some of the apartments.”

He added: “With another project listed, live online and ready to live in, we look to what is next in store for Your Apartment. For many small and medium sized businesses the past few years have been challenging, which has stifled their ability to innovate and invest in new trends and concepts.

“Fortunately, over this period, we believe we have been able to show our commitment to facing challenges and evolving as a company. We started as a local business with only a few serviced apartments and now we are proud to have almost 300 apartments in our collection.”
