The Eastbury Hotel in Sherborne, Dorset, has been awarded a 4-Star Rating by the AA, following an extensive refurbishment and upgrade in service and efficiency.
The 22-bedroomed boutique hotel was commended on its “warmth of atmosphere and strong team spirit”, in addition to its “impressive food standard and excellent restaurant service”.
Inspectors also noted the professional reception team, good housekeeping and impressive refurbishments.
Owner Peter de Savary said: “I am delighted for general manager Dominee Worman, and the wonderful team at The Eastbury. They are young, enthusiastic and professional and have improved standards dramatically in a short space of time.
“This bodes very well for the future and I am excited by what we can achieve once the new Hobbit House Spa and new Potting Shed Garden Suites complete the new-look Eastbury next year. Whilst we now have a four star hotel rating, we aim to offer a friendly five star experience.”
