Radisson has officially opened its first Radisson Red hotel in Galway, marking its debut of the brand in Ireland.
Located in Galway’s newest neighbourhood, Crown Square, Radisson Red incorporates art, music and fashion to “create an unforgettable stay for guests”.
The 177 guest rooms and suites have been decorated to reflect the hotel’s “signature” aesthetic, featuring vibrant colours, chic furnishing and striking artwork.
In addition, the hotel offers The Claddagh Bar and Grill, a modern restaurant on the ground floor, and Lena’s Rooftop Bar and Restaurant which serves cocktails and seats 140 guests.
As well as F&B destinations, the hotel boasts nine meeting rooms spread across two floors, with over 400 sqm of space.
The lower ground floor is home to the Tribe Suite, a “spacious and versatile” room that can cater to up to 220 guests in a theatre-style setting, for either a large conference, presentation or seminar.
Radisson RED Galway has also introduced a series of advanced features that aim to cater to the tech-savvy traveller, such as seamless check-in and check-out through kiosks, as well as wireless charging points that have been strategically placed throughout the hotel and guest rooms.
Tom Flanagan Karttunen, area senior VP of Northern and Western Europe at Radisson Hotel Group, said: “Opening the first ever Radisson Red property in Ireland is a monumental occasion, and I could not be prouder that it’s located in Galway, which happens to be my hometown.
“The property perfectly marries the bold vibrancy of the brand’s design with the culture and heritage of the city, and it is an ideal choice for business and leisure guests alike.”
