The Grand, York has announced that it will undertake a significant £2.5m renovation of its spa and gym facilities.
From 1 May 2025, the spa will close for the transformation, with plans to reopen in early 2026 with state-of-the-art facilities and innovative wellness offerings.
The project will comprehensively redesign treatment rooms, introduce advanced wellness technologies, and expand relaxation spaces.
The renovation will see the existing spa’s design be transformed, introducing a brand-new
Tirol hot sauna, Himalayan salt sauna, a state-of-the-art large hydrotherapy pool, foot spas,
relaxation rooms and more.
The hotel will also add a restaurant area to its wellness facilities to offer spa day package holders a food and beverage offering.
During this refurbishment, The Grand, York will transform two bedrooms into treatment rooms. Other wellbeing offerings throughout the closure include in-room gym kits, Grand running routes and use of Grand bicycles enabling guests to explore the city.
