The Crieff Hydro Family of Hotels has received a Gold Award in the UK Government’s Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) for its support of the Armed Forces community.
The group, which operates seven hotels across Scotland, was recognised for its inclusive employment practices and ongoing partnerships with cadets, reservists, veterans and service families.
The award follows the group’s receipt of the Silver Award last year.
To achieve the Gold Award, the hotel group met criteria such as promoting Armed Forces-friendly policies, supporting service families with flexible working, and engaging with Reserve and Cadet units through events and partnerships.
As part of its efforts, chairman and chief executive Stephen Leckie annually appoints a local cadet to assist with public duties in his role as Lord-Lieutenant of Perth and Kinross. The initiative provides mentoring and hospitality experience.
Georgia Robertson, who helps coordinate the group’s support for the Armed Forces community, said: “Achieving the ERS Gold Award is a huge moment for us and something I’ve been personally proud to work on.
“It reflects not just a formal commitment, but a real and growing culture of respect, inclusion and support for the Armed Forces community. They bring a wide range of skills to the workforce and we’re passionate about helping them build fulfilling careers.”
Leckie added: “We are incredibly proud to receive the Gold Award in the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme. This honour reflects not just our commitment, but the passion and dedication of our team in creating a workplace that values and supports those who serve.”
