B+B Edinburgh brought to market for over £5m

In this episode we speak to brothers Alex and Adrien Grosjean, young entrepreneurs who have recently acquired The Residence Inn by Marriott Manchester Piccadilly. We discussed the reasons why Manchester’s visitor market is booming, and their decision to invest in this area, why they see extended-stay accommodation as a major opportunity in what is one of the UK's fastest-growing cities, how they plan to enhance their portfolio of hotels, and their advice for the next generation of hospitality disruptors.

The B+B Edinburgh, a Grade II listed Georgian townhouse hotel located in the city’s West End on Rothesay Terrace, has been brought to market inviting offers in excess of £5m.

The sale will include freehold interest in the property which is situated within a 10 minute walk from Edinburgh’s financial centre and several landmarks, including Edinburgh Castle.

The hotel comprises 27 luxury en-suite bedrooms, a 60-person capacity restaurant, a bar, 24/7 reception and concierge service, a library lounge area, two events and meeting spaces, a rear garden, and a one-bedroom staff flat.

B+B Edinburgh is owned and operated by B&B Edinburgh Limited, which forms part of the B+B Collection, a boutique hotel group managed by the hospitality company Inntelligence.

Ryan Lynn, Partner, Knight Frank, who is handling the sale, said: “This is an established and consistently profitable business which has created a premium asset, enabling it to maintain strong occupancy rates. B+B Edinburgh also occupies a prime, highly sought after location, within close proximity to Princes Street, George Street, and the Edinburgh International Conference Centre, attracting both leisure and business travellers.

“Since its purchase by B+B Collection in 2011, the property has undergone extensive renovations that retain its original Georgian charm while integrating modern facilities, ensuring an enduring appeal to a range of visitors.”
