Coruisk House on the Isle of Skye has been awarded a four-star Restaurant with Rooms rating by the AA.

The property, located near Elgol, was praised by inspectors for its attention to detail, refined dining and characterful accommodation. The AA also presented Coruisk House with a rosette in recognition of its high culinary standards.

Inspectors noted that Coruisk House delivers an experience “both refined and deeply rooted in the culture of the Isle of Skye”, highlighting its commitment to showcasing seasonal produce and supporting independent local suppliers.

Owner Clare Winskill has spent more than a decade developing the business into a destination known for its understated luxury and focus on local ingredients. The house features four bedrooms and two holiday cottages, offering what Winskill describes as “authentically intimate hospitality”.

She said: “We are absolutely delighted to have been awarded four stars by the AA. It’s a wonderful recognition of the hard work our small team puts in every single day to deliver something truly special for our guests. Coruisk House has always been about sharing the magic of Skye, and this accolade is an encouragement for us to keep building on that vision.”
