Capella Hotel Group has opened Capella Residences Seoul Club, an exclusive members-only venue in Seoul’s Hannam-dong district, as a preview to the Capella Residences Seoul development scheduled to open in 2028.

The club marks Korea’s first residents-only facility managed by the international luxury hospitality brand. It provides future residents of the upcoming 222-unit complex early access to Capella’s services and amenities.

Features include The Dining Room by Hulotte, led by chef Seung-jun Lee, and The Roof, curated by Capella chef ambassador Edward Lee. The club also houses The Living Room – a Capella signature space – and The Boxing Club, a wellness and fitness venue with advanced recovery facilities.

Chef Lee, known for his Seoul restaurant Hulotte, brings a fine-dining concept focused on French techniques and Korean ingredients. He said his philosophy is that “a chef cooks not only food, but memories.”

The Roof features a culinary programme developed by chef Edward Lee, a James Beard Award winner and television personality. He said his dishes aim to “blend Korean flavours with American techniques and global cuisines” while remaining rooted in authentic ingredients.

The club’s design was developed by French studio Liaigre, combining natural materials and contemporary architecture to reflect Seoul’s surrounding landscape. The wider Capella Residences project is being designed by US architecture firm Olson Kundig, with a community clubhouse by British architect David Chipperfield.

According to Capella, the new facility “offers an exclusive preview of the distinctive design philosophy” that will define the full residential development.
