Leonardo Royal London City appoints new GM

Jurys Inn and Leonardo Hotels UK and Ireland has appointed Daniel Loosley as the new general manager of one of its three central London hotels, Leonardo Royal London City.

Loosley has worked within the hotel and hospitality industry for the last 30 years and built a “solid and well-respected” reputation. He started his career at Marriott Hotel where, after four years, he was promoted to F&B manager level before progressing to his first GM role with Forte Hotels.

After five years with Forte Hotels, Loosley developed his career further managing hotels such as Hilton Hotel, Clifden Station House Hotel and the Thistle Hotel.

For the last seven years, he has worked with RBH Hotel Group as general manager of the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Reading and Crowne Plaza London Docklands.

Leonardo Royal London City is one of three Leonardo Royal central London properties to be added to the Jurys Inn and Leonardo Hotels UK and Ireland portfolio earlier this year.

The hotel, based in the heart of the city, will be undergoing an “extensive” refurbishment program which will bring a “fresh and vibrant” new look to the property and will be overseen by Loosley in his new role.

Leonardo Royal London City, offers 307 spacious guest rooms, one on-site restaurant and two bars, the luxury Rena Spa, fitness club, virtual golf, and 12 meeting and conference suites, making it the perfect base for any trip to London.

Leonardo Hotels is one of the leading and fastest-growing hotel chains in Europe with more than 150 properties across major European cities. The brand is a recent entrant to the UK hotel market, with 12 hotels: six in Scotland, three in London, one in Southampton and Manchester and new hotels coming soon to Bristol and Dublin.
