Jurys Inn and Leonardo Hotels UK and Ireland has appointed Eugen Patrascu as the new deputy general manager of Leonardo Royal Southampton Grand Harbour.
With over 30 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, the hotel brand said Patrascu has “finessed” his skills by working in some of Romania and the UK’s “leading” hotels.
Patrascu took on his first managerial role as an assistant might manager at the five-star Athenee Palace Hilton Bucharest. He was then appointed as front office manager at Romania’s four-star Rin Airport Hotel. Patrascu then held several positions in Romanian properties before moving to the UK in 2014.
Since then, he has worked as deputy general manager at several different hotels across the UK, including the Moresby Hall B&B Whitehaven, The Borrowdale Hotel in Cumbria, The Talbot Malton in North Yorkshire and The County Hotel in Chelmsford.
Together with general manager, Andy Gray, Patrascu said he will work to provide guests with an “enjoyable stay while raising the hotel’s profile around the UK”.
