Annual Hotel Conference 2020 cancelled

In this episode we speak to Anthony Hunt, partner and co-head of Corporate Real Estate at law firm Howard Kennedy. We discuss why 2026 may be seen as a pivotal year for boutique hotels, unpack the rise of global nomadism and how this is shaping demand and trends across hospitality, and how a strong team and clear, consistent messaging and offerings are key to securing investment.

The Annual Hotel Conference (AHC) 2020 has been cancelled as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The event was scheduled to take place at the Manchester Convention Centre between 21 and 22 September 2020.

The AHC said due to the circumstances, it is not in a position to bring over 1,000 of its members together to “learn, network and be inspired”.

However, instead The AHC Reimagined: Reconnecting UK Hospitality event will now take place on Thursday 8 October.

The digital conference will be a “high quality” virtual production, created in a professional broadcast studio. AHC said speakers will present from the studio and sponsors will have proper visibility and engagement through video content and lead generation.

The AHC said: “The AHC Reimagined will include all the traditional elements of The AHC that place it firmly on the calendar for the UK hospitality industry but vitally, it will offer a chance for our sector which has suffered so greatly, to come together, to enjoy outstanding content and to connect with peers, network with colleagues and meet new partners.

“More information will be released shortly, but we’re hard at work creating a valuable and informative event with plenty of The AHC personality sprinkled throughout.”
