Scottish highlands site The Plockton Inn has been brought to market, with its sellers currently inviting offers of over £1.5m for the property.
The hotel is being sold by a family who have owned the hotel for over 23 years and are now looking to retire.
The inn was originally a converted town villa and has been extended over the years. The property now includes the addition of an adjacent bungalow and the Old School House building.
The site features 14 letting bedrooms, a spacious bar, bistro restaurant, dining room, lounge and staff accommodation.
A beer garden sits at the front of the hotel, while there are two additional garden areas behind the inn and the old schoolhouse.
The village of Plockton, which overlooks Loch Carron, was made famous by its numerous appearances in film and TV
The area is a popular anchorage for visiting yachts, while the nearby airfield handles light aircraft, microlights and helicopters, providing easy access to the central belt of Scotland for private charters.
Peter Seymour, head of hotel and leisure at Graham + Sibbald, who is handling the sale, said: “The Plockton Inn is a very well regarded seafood restaurant and hotel located in one of the most popular tourist villages in Scotland.
“This is a rare available opportunity to acquire a hotel with development opportunity, given the planning consent for 12 additional rooms and another 70 covers, this would ensure that during peak season the Hotel really benefits from the number of visitors to the area.”
