German Group Pentahotels has opened its first hotel in Scotland with the opening of a property in Inverness.
The 90-bedroom hotel features the signature, informal Pentalounge – designed by Italian architect Matteo Thun – where guests check in at the bar.
Alastair Thomann, managing director of Pentahotels Europe said: “We have always wanted a presence in Scotland as we believe the people, and the visitors, know what they want when they travel.
“Our concept is new and insists on a hotel stay which is relaxed, oozing a casual chic that is both welcoming and comfortable.”
The hotel represents Pentahotels’ sixth property in the UK and its 25th in Europe and Asia. The firm hopes to have 80 properties in operation or under development by 2020.
