London hotels saw flat performance year-on-year in October according to preliminary data released by STR Global.
Supply increased by 3.2%, but demand rose by only 3%, resulting in a 0.1% drop in overall occupancy rates in London hotels, to 88%. There was no change in RevPAR, which remained at £134.44.
Elizabeth Winkle, managing director of STR Global, said: “London hotel performance for October remained flat for the month. This performance remains in line with what we saw last month, with occupancy levels close to 90% and ADR above £150.
“October is not only a strong business month, but many countries in Europe have midterm school breaks, attracting a lot of tourists during this month.”
