Former Zetter Group partner to open 73-bedroom hotel in London

In this episode we speak to Anthony Hunt, partner and co-head of Corporate Real Estate at law firm Howard Kennedy. We discuss why 2026 may be seen as a pivotal year for boutique hotels, unpack the rise of global nomadism and how this is shaping demand and trends across hospitality, and how a strong team and clear, consistent messaging and offerings are key to securing investment.

A former partner of the boutique hotel company The Zetter Group is set to open a new 73-bedroom in London later this year.

Jason Catifeoglou has teamed up with the founder of myhotels group, Andreas Thrasyvoulou, and Steph Thrasyvoulou to create the Pilgrm, which is expected to open in Paddington’s Norfolk Square in summer 2017.

The hotel aims to make booking and arrival a “seamless experience” where guests will check in online prior to arrival, removing the need for a reception desk and the traditional hotel lobby.

Bedrooms will feature reclaimed and restored furnishings from 200-year-old mahogany parquet floors to original cast iron radiators, with the property aiming to be a “reinterpretation of the traditional hotel”.

The ground floor will include a neighbourhood café that will also serve as the welcome area for guests, while the first floor will feature a lounge bar and dining room accommodating up to 30 guests.

Catifeoglou, CEO and founder, said: “The Pilgrm represents the journey of a collective of individuals I’ve enjoyed knowing over the years.

“Together we present a new luxury to today’s traveller, often from unexpected places. We will combine the finest guest experience of today, with the finest British craftsmanship of yesterday.”
