Lords of the Manor hotel made the Sunday Times’ Top 100 Food List recently after a survey of 7,500 restaurant-goers returned great results.
The list is compiled in collaboration with Harden’s Guides and the Gloucestershire-based hotel and eatery amassed a score of 9.31 out of 10 to be ranked just inside the top 50. Diners commented that the Manor had ‘memorable’ cuisine and an ‘interesting, well-chosen wine list’, as well as praising the romantic experience they had.
General manager Paul Thompson was “delighted” with the accolade, and said: “We have achieved 45th place in The Sunday Times Top 100 Food List and we are thrilled that our hard work has been recognised and that our restaurant has been accredited as one of the best restaurants in the UK.”
Head chef Matt Wheedon has held his Michelin Star since 2008 and uses locally sourced producers in nearby villages, giving the authentic taste that is befitting of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World member.
The Lords of the Manor is tucked away in Upper Slaughter, a corner of the Cotswolds, and is a member of Prie of Britain Hotels. Further information can be found through the website.
