Knightsbridge’s Cadogan hotel has won the ‘Best Mobile Offering Award’ at the Prestigious Star Awards 2012.
The hotel was praised for its “excellent usability across iOS and Android platforms, Social Integration, One-Click Booking and Location Services”, when viewed on a mobile phone.
The awards, hosted by Prestigious Venues, focused on the importance of digital intelligence and the increasing role it plays in a venue’s brand growth.
Will Oakley, general manager at the Cadogan, said: “It’s great that our website has been recognised. We work very hard to ensure it is constantly up-to-date, and is designed in a way that is accessible to all web users, whether through a computer, laptop, tablet device or mobile phone.
“As a hotel we are aware of the importance of the internet and strive to make sure we are ahead of the game in this fast moving digital age. Receiving a Prestigious Star is a great achievement for the hotel and the team, and will further motivate them to continue their hard work.”
Formerly the home of Lillie Langtry, the famous actress and close friend of King Edward VII, the Cadogan is perhaps best known for its association with Oscar Wilde who was a frequent visitor and stayed in room 118.
