A 100-room hotel and luxury lodges are set to be built at a new holiday resort in Wales.
The Afan Valley Adventure Resort, which the owners are touting as “the world’s ultimate outdoor adventure” will cover 485 acres in South Wales between Cardiff and Swansea.
Some £130m investment has been put into the project which is set to generate £6.5m a year in customer expenditure.
Bedroom lodges with two to four rooms will be available from £175,000 through Properties of the World. The properties will be managed by an experienced resort operator, and will be leased out to holidaymakers with an opportunity to enjoy two weeks’ free personal usage per year.
In the wake of fall in the value of sterling, the Afan Valley Adventure Resort said it hopes to make the most of Britain’s growing ‘staycation’ culture.
Jean Liggett, CEO of Properties of the World said: “Afan Valley Adventure Resort will offer activities for the whole family. From seasoned adrenaline junkies to those looking to try paintballing, go-karting and water zorbing, there’s plenty to do for everyone.
“Another unique appeal is the Alpine Zone, home to a wealth of invigorating and challenging snow sports activities. The area has all the thrills of a popular and traditional ski resort complete with lifts, time gates, slalom courses, tubing, moguls, ski-school, toboggan runs and finishing the day with a backdrop of music, fireworks, professional ski displays and the bustling alpine bars are just some of the amazing selling points to this multi-million-pound project.”
