The Yorke Arms hotel and restaurant has been put up for sale for a region price of £1.75m by commercial property consultancy, Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH).
The Yorkshire-based 18th century coaching house has 16 bedrooms, courtyard apartments and a Michelin star restaurant.
It has held its Michelin star since 2003 and is operated by award-winning chef Frances Atkins who is one of the few female Michelin chefs in the UK.
Alistair Greenhalgh, director of hotels at LSH, said: “The Yorke Arms is a renowned establishment which has undergone tasteful renovations and refurbishments over the years.
“The characterful hotel offers customers a peaceful escape with countryside views, while the restaurant enables an experienced operator to take on a business with an established customer base and excellent reputation.”
He added: “The business draws trade from all over the UK in addition to regular, local custom. Its high profile reputation will no doubt generate interest from a wide range of purchasers.”
