RedefineBDL Hotels (RBH) is on track to reach its goal of raising £100,000 for the Make-A-Wish children’s charity.
It set its two-year target when it partnered with the charity last year and with six months of 2017 to go, the hotel group is under £20,000 away from its goal towards granting wishes to “enrich the lives” of children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions.
Some of the events the hotel group has taken part in to raise money include a skydive at Holiday Inn Express Antrim and a 5k Badass Mucker obstacle at Holiday Inn Express Manchester Airport.
The company’s central IT team also scaled Ben Nevis in June, raising more than £1,200 towards the total.
Susan Bland, chief human resources officer at RBH, said: “After a phenomenal response from our colleagues, there was an appetite go the extra mile to raise a six-figure sum by the end of 2017. At this halfway point in the year, we’re delighted to say we’re on track to reach our target.
“You really can’t fail to be moved by the important work Make-A-Wish does and I’m sure that will keep us motivated as we continue our fundraising for the remainder of the year.”
