Nico spoke about founding the group alongside his longtime friend Gareth, having had a vision for bringing more nature spaces to cities, the planned extension of The Buxton in Spitalfields, and how the site’s storytelling engages guests and the local community, how the Culpeper Family’s core sustainability ethos helped it secure its B-Corp status and why hospitality has a responsibility to educate and innovate when it comes to sustainability.

The highest achieving prize winners in HOSPA’s hospitality-focused professional development programme have been named.

The winners are the leaners who achieved the highest grades during their studies in financial management and revenue management on courses completed in February and August 2017

HOSPA is a not-for-profit educational organisation offering courses for hospitality professionals seeking to improve their careers.

The financial management programme is studied in three separate stages over 18 months. The revenue management programme is offered in three separate levels, each taking five months to complete.

Cash prizes and certificates will be presented to the winners at an event held at Hilton on Park Lane hotel in January 2018. The day will also include a panel debate chaired by Professor Peter Jones MBE, chairman of HOSPA’s professional development committee, discussing education and recruitment needs of hospitality finance and revenue managers.

Debra Adams, association’s head of professional development, said: “We are delighted to be returning to the Hilton Park Lane to celebrate the achievements of our highest performing learners on the HOSPA professional development programmes during 2017.”

She added: “Congratulations go to all our learners and prize winners, who have successfully completed each stage of their financial Management and revenue management studies over the last eighteen months. We are very proud of their achievements which have been gained whilst working in demanding and fulfilling roles in the hospitality industry.”
