Beaufort Park sold off market for £3.5m

The three-star hotel is set in 3.7 acres of grounds and currently offers 106-en suite rooms

North Welsh Beaufort Park Hotel has been sold off market for a guide price of around £3.5m.

Specialist business property adviser, Christie and Co advised on the sale of Beaufort Park, which is located in the countryside village of Mold in North near the Snowdonia National Park.

The three-star hotel is set in 3.7 acres of grounds and currently offers 106-en suite rooms, a bar and restaurant, several conference facilities and ample car parking space.

The hotel can also accommodate larger functions and weddings, and there is the additional benefit of a two bedroom owner’s apartment with lounge, kitchen and bathroom.

The sale, which was conducted entirely off market, marks the end of 25 years of ownership for previous owners, David Byers and his daughter, Sarah Gale.

Ryan Lynn, director at Christie and Co’s Manchester office, said: “The hotel market in the North remains strong and we are seeing high levels of interest ranging from local operators to international investors. The sale of the Beaufort Park Hotel demonstrates the strong appetite for hotel properties in the region.

“We congratulate Mr Byers on his retirement and we are pleased to have assisted in the disposal of his hotel group, which included the Beaufort Park and Crown Hotel in Cumbria, which we sold in December last year. We look forward to seeing how new owners, JDP Hotels take the business forward.”

A specialist team from Burnetts Solicitors advised Beaufort Park Hotel on the sale, led by corporate partner, Michael Walby, Paul Tyrer and Steven Percy of SAS Daniels LLP acted on behalf of the buyer.
