Hotel technology provider Avvio has announced that it was presented an award for its innovative booking engine Allora at a prestigious European event.
Joint sessions in Amsterdam, which are a collaboration between Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP) and HSMAI (Hospitality, Sales and Marketing Association International) Region Europe, brought together hundreds of professionals from across the hospitality industry.
Avvio picked up the ‘Best Technology Innovator of the Year award’ for Allora at the HSMAI Region Europe Awards, which form part of the events.
Frank Reeves, Avvio co-founder and CEO, said: “We’re incredibly honoured to receive the Best Technology Innovator for Allora, the world’s first booking engine powered by artificial intelligence.
“We are so proud of Allora and to receive this recognition at a key event like the HSMAI Awards is fantastic.
“We have been really impressed with the event, and it was a great opportunity to mix with colleagues from across the industry.”
Allora uses AI skills such as Learning Models to analyse large volumes of data and identify which variations will yield the best booking engine configuration. Which is designed to allow it to focus on driving direct booking and guest loyalty by orchestrating better online interactions between hotels and guests.
Reeves and Avvio were also asked to take part in the co-located HITEC Europe events as a speaker. He delivered a talk on ‘Artificial Intelligence and Voice Recognition: Impact on Hospitality’, and Ian Sloan, vice president of client strategy, joined a panel session focusing on direct bookings versus online travel agencies.
