International budget hotel chain, easyHotel, has announced the launch date for its debut Welsh hotel.

Situated in Cardiff city centre, the 120-bedroom hotel is set to officially open to the public on 15 March.

The property brings easyHotel’s portfolio across Europe and the UK to 41, creating ten new jobs in the process.

A 15-minute walk from Cardiff Castle and 20-minutes from the Principality, the London-based hotelier is looking to gain additional footfall from those wanting to experience the city.

Neil Fidler, digital marketing manager at the company, said: “It is absolutely thrilling to be opening our first ever hotel in Wales in this brilliant, vibrant, culture-rich city.

“Wales is famous for some of the best things in life and has so much to offer, from nail biting rugby matches to world renowned singers, great food and the famous red dragon. We can’t wait to start welcoming guests.”

Founded in 2004, easyHotel said it continues to act on its ethos to “offer affordable travel to all” in city centres or near major transport links.
