Comprising 230 rooms, as well as extensive meeting and event spaces, the group’s Glasgow establishment is designed to appeal to both leisure and corporate guests alike.
While slightly smaller, with 150 rooms and suites, the Edinburgh property will also include an all-day restaurant called The Blossom, and a destination-led bar named Edinburgh at the Bar.
Karan Khanna, managing director for the UK and Ireland at IHG, said: “We are delighted to see our voco brand enter the Scottish hotel market.
“Both properties reflect the voco brand proposition, being reliably different while celebrating each hotel’s individual spirit and character.”
Developed in the UK in 2018, Voco now operates as a global brand with ten hotels currently open across Europe.
Khanna added: “Since launching in 2018, voco has seen extraordinary growth and is proving popular with owners and developers alike given its strong conversion appeal.
“After launching the brand in China and the US just a few months ago, I am truly delighted that we’re now also entering a new market a little closer to home.”
