Lodore Falls Hotel, which is part of the Lake District Hotels group, has launched its new Pan Asian restaurant, Mizu, as part of a £10m investment programme.
Phase one of the investment at the 73-room hotel saw the refurbishment of the hotel’s entire ground floor. Phase two will see the opening of the Mizu restaurant and four bedroom suites. A further 14 bedroom suites and a spa will also launch during mid-September 2018.
With an open kitchen, bar area and riverside terrace, the 70- seater Mizu takes its name from the Japanese for ‘falling water’ and directly overlooks the Lodore Falls waterfall.
The restaurant will serve a variety of Asian dishes under the direction of new head chef, Kasun Jayasooriya. Mizu is the second restaurant at the Lodore Falls Hotel, which already operates the 2-AA Rosette Lake View Restaurant.
Daniella Hope, marketing director, said: ‘We are delighted to have made recent investment, such as refurbishing our public areas, developing new larger, luxurious bedroom suites and now with the creation and launch of Mizu restaurant.
“The stunning natural beauty of the Lake District makes it a competitive market place but we at Lodore Falls Hotel are confident that we offer something uniquely exciting.”
