Redmayne House brought to market

The B&B occupies a corner site just off Kirby Stephen’s High Street and comprises four recently refurbished en-suite guest bedrooms, along with a breakfast room and guest lounge

Redmayne House, an award-winning B&B in the Eden Valley, has been brought to the market.

The Grade II listed Georgian house is date marked 1787, although records indicate the original part of the property dates back to around 1650.

The B&B occupies a corner site just off Kirby Stephen’s High Street and comprises four recently refurbished en-suite guest bedrooms, along with a breakfast room and guest lounge.

The site also includes four-bedroom owner’s accommodation and a detached double garage.

The B&B  is currently being marketed on a freehold basis, with owners accepting offers over £850,000.

Furthermore, the property was recently awarded the TripAdvisor ‘Travellers Choice Award’ for 2021.

Redmayne House is being offered for sale as current owners, Rob and Liz Paisley, are seeking retirement.

They acquired the property in 2015 and renovated and updated the accommodation to provide a “stylish and welcoming” experience for guests when they reopened for business in 2016.

Keith Stringer, director in Christie and Co’s Hotels, licensed and leisure team, who is handling the sale, said: “Redmayne House is a truly outstanding property with a wealth of tasteful period features.

“The award-winning business offers a new owner a fantastic lifestyle opportunity to live and work in the sought-after Cumbrian region which attracts over 47 million visitors each year.”
