The design-led Hilton flagship hotel received the award due to its “sustained commitment to excellence” in hoteliering and “outstanding achievement” in the international luxury hospitality industry.
The hotel features 292 modern guest rooms, including 25 bespoke suites and one Penthouse Apartment, which has its own private terrace and views of London.
There are also 11 flexible meeting rooms and Bankside’s largest ballroom. In addition, the hotel houses OXBO Bankside, a 168-cover restaurant serving breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner, and The Distillery Bankside, which offers a wide range of drinks including over 100 gins.
James Clarke, general manager at the Hilton London Bankside, said: “After a challenging time for all those operating in the hospitality industry, we are thrilled to have been named the UK’s Luxury City Hotel in the prestigious 2021 World Luxury Awards.
“Thanks to the hard work and determination of our team and despite difficult circumstances, Hilton London Bankside has been recognised for achieving high standards of guest service and it is an honour to receive this accolade.”
