Hospitality sector expert and managing director of Pace Dimensions, Tim Davis, is set to moderate HospitalityInside’s 2021 Think Tank in September for the fourth consecutive year.
The event will take place on 13 and 14 September, with the theme of ‘Sustainability and Digitalisation: The Change Drivers’.
It will host a wide range of speaker and panel sessions, and industry experts appearing include Alex Duckworth, principal consultant at AECOM Sustainable Development Group; Floor Bleeker, chief technology officer of Accor; Neil Jacobs, CEO of Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas; Wolfgang M. Neumann, chairman of the Sustainable Hospitality Alliance.
The event will debate and evaluate the “phenomenon of rapidly spreading digitalisation” that has occurred over the last 18 months, as well as the increased premium placed on sustainability by consumers.
Sessions will also explore how these issues have “risen so quickly to the top of the industry’s agenda, and what the implications are for businesses themselves”.
Speakers will investigate what the hospitality industry can do to meet growing sustainability-related expectations from consumers, regulators and the media via innovative technology and digital investment.
Discussions on how customer behaviour is driving and shaping the sustainability agenda will also feature, as well as how design and construction are evolving to create more sustainable hotels.
In addition, the impact of the regulatory framework in shaping sustainable hotel investment and development will be discussed, as well as how technology is enabling sustainability.
Tim Davis, managing director of Pace Dimensions, said: “It’s an honour to be invited back to moderate HospitalityInside’s Think Tank. The themes of digitalisation and sustainability are topics that bear huge relevance for businesses seeking to future-proof themselves from further turbulent times.
“I am privileged to lead the discussion with industry colleagues whose expertise and experience will be invaluable for all travel and hospitality professionals. The event promises to be a must-attend conference for those looking to equip themselves with the knowledge to survive and thrive in the new marketplace.”
