Luxury five-star hotel, Fonab Castle Hotel, located in the heart of Highland Perthshire, Scotland, has been acquired by Blantyre and Fairtree.
The acquisition represents one of the largest transactions in rural Scotland this year and is a landmark transaction for both Blantyre and Fairtree in relation to the expansion of their active UK hotel investment strategy.
Fonab Castle Hotel is a 42 bed five-star luxury hotel and spa nestled in the heart of Highland Perthshire. “Lovingly restored”, the hotel is said to draw inspiration from its historic past and “breath-taking surroundings whilst adding a contemporary twist.
Fairtree Alternative Real Estate is a UK based hotel investment and management company set up by four individuals with “extensive experience” in the hospitality industry having invested into and managed 43 Hotels across South Africa and the UK.
Meanwhile, Blantyre Capital Limited is a London-based investment management firm with long-term committed capital in excess of €1.6bn (£1.33bn).
