Amongst the wider group, the group also confirmed the appointment of Michael Clark as the new operations director at D&D London

D&D London has announced the addition of two new senior team members at South Place Hotel, with Michael James Parker joining as general manager and Cynthia Coomb joining as F&B director.

The recent appointments signal an “exciting new chapter” for D&D London, as Parker and Coomb plan an “extensive refresh” of the hotel’s F&B operations, which include the Michelin-starred Angler restaurant.

South Place Hotel is D&D London’s first hotel, and is located between Moorgate and Liverpool Street.

It will now be overseen by Parker, whose near-30-year career has seen him gain extensive experience in hotel operations and management across the UK, China and Southeast Asia.

His various roles have included new openings, project rebrands, and market repositioning, and he joins South Place Hotel from his managing director role at the Rosewood Phnom Penh.

Coombe meanwhile brings over 20 years of experience working in the hotel industry. Her career was established in Surrey, where she acted as general manager and owner of several hotels including The Westerly, Reigate and The Pendleton, St Johns.

In recent years she has worked as restaurant general manager at Wolfgang Puck’s CUT at 45 Park Lane, before moving to The Rosewood London as general manager of Holborn Dining Room, Gin Bar, Pie Room and Macallan Terrace.

Amongst the wider group, the group also confirmed the appointment of Michael Clark as the new operations director at D&D London.

In his new role, Clark celebrates his return to the hospitality group, having started his career as restaurant manager at Coq d’Argent before going on to become general manager at Sartoria then Le Pont de la Tour.

Clark brings a wealth of knowledge from his time spent at Sketch and Swan at The Globe, and most recently as operations director for The Ivy Collection.
