The Belsfield Hotel, a four-star luxury boutique hotel located on the shores of Lake Windermere in the Lake District, has appointed Mark Starkey as its new general manager.
Starkey brings over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry to the role, having led “high performing” teams in the UK and across the globe.
Prior to his new role, Starkey was most recently the general manager at Grosvenor Pulford Hotel and Spa in Chester.
Previously, he worked for Jupiter Hotels and Crerar Hotels in the UK, and Sandals Resort International in the Caribbean as a hotel manager.
Starkey said: “Corus Hotels are committed to delivering exceptional experiences to every guest at every touch point. I am very proud to be joining The Belsfield which has such a rich history, and I’m delighted to be working with such a fantastic team.
“The hotel is known for quality and for creating heartfelt experiences for our guests and I am looking forward to continuing to build on this and to developing our offer even further.”
The Grade II listed hotel is situated in the resort town of Bowness-on-Windermere in the Lake District. It comprises 62 bedrooms, including 25 lake view rooms amongst six acres of landscaped gardens.
