AccorInvest appoints VP of Communications and Public Affairs

It said he will work to enhance AccorInvest’s reputation and image among its business partners, the public sector and its employees

AccorInvest has appointed Laurent Turpault as VP of Communications and Public Affairs, with the new position forming part of the group’s transformation strategy.

It said he will work to enhance AccorInvest’s reputation and image among its business partners, the public sector and its employees, while helping provide a “better understanding of AccorInvest’s unique business model as both a hotel owner and operator, its employer brand and its growth ambitions”.

Turpault began his career in marketing at Crédit Agricole before moving into the consumer goods sector. He spent 10 years at Heineken France, where he created the digital and CRM strategy for the brands and the category. He later founded the company’s Communications and CSR department.

He then joined Bacardi-Martini as external affairs director for Southern Europe, promoting the company and its brands to influencers and protecting the group’s operating environments in these markets.

He later led communications, public affairs and CSR for Coca-Cola France, where he grew the brand’s reputation, often through strategic partnerships and the celebration of its 100 years of operations in France and Europe. He also contributed to the diversification of its portfolio and its entry into new categories.

Turpault said: “I was immediately impressed by the enthusiasm and expertise of the women and men who work for AccorInvest. They have made this group a major player in the hotel and property industry, both in Europe and elsewhere in the world. I am delighted to be working with my team to create the messages that will convey their ambition.”
