Accor opens Ibis Wakefield East- Castleford

The hotel’s 62 bedrooms are furnished with a work desk and Sweet Bed by Ibis, while a range of room categories are available to accommodate both leisure and business travellers

Accor has announced that Ibis Wakefield East – Castleford has opened its doors following a refurbishment. 

The hotel has been redesigned in the brand’s contemporary Plaza concept, with modern industrial accents and features including wooden flooring, exposed brick and metal shelving. 

The hotel’s 62 bedrooms are furnished with a work desk and Sweet Bed by Ibis, while a range of room categories are available to accommodate both leisure and business travellers, from double and twin rooms to accessible rooms and family suites. 

Classic British cuisine will be served at the Charlie’s Corner restaurant, as well as cocktails and wines which are served throughout the day.  

Located on Junction 31 of M62 and a seven minutes’ drive from Castleford train station, the hotel offers a base to explore nearby attractions such as Xscape Yorkshire, Diggerland Theme Park and the Pontefract Racecourse. 

Neighbouring cities such as Leeds, Huddersfield, Halifax and Bradford are only a 30 minute drive from the hotel.
