The Tawny Hotel located in rural Staffordshire have launched two additional accommodations for the year, six Hillside Treehouses and eight Retreats, which are said to be set within the 70-acre grounds of the Consall Hall Estate garden.
The hotel launched in July last year with 55 “immaculately” designed Shepherds Huts, Valley Treehouses, Boathouses and the Lookout.
It is reported that the six new treehouse lodges are set within mature woodland and any trees that had to be felled for their construction were sustainably used for biomass. The foundation systems were specifically chosen, as they can be removed with no harm caused to tree roots.
In addition, the new designs are timber framed buildings cladded with natural timbers cedar and larch, which are said to “weather and blend into the scenery” over time. The lodges themselves are powered by a district heating system, meaning each lodge does not require its own boiler but is fed by an efficient centralised system.
In addition, the retreats are eight cedar-clad cabins and are said to be “the ultimate rural bolthole”, which offer all the seclusion of a countryside escape with the hotel’s much-loved central facilities just a stroll away.
Their interiors also offer “simple and understated” design with clean lines and contemporary furnishings with floor to ceiling windows that look out on the woodland estate. All retreat rooms reportedly have super-king-size beds with sunken indoor bathtubs and an outdoor spa-bath.
A one-night stay at The Tawny reportedly starts from £230 in the Wildwood Huts, £360 in the Lookout, £400 in the Boathouses, £420 in the Treehouses and £560 in a Retreat, based on two sharing and inclusive of bed and breakfast.
