The Swan’s Nest Hotel in Stratford-upon-Avon has been brought to market, with the price available upon application.
The 72-bedroom property is currently trading as a four-star hotel with the food and beverage run by Le Bistrot Pierre for both its 70-cover restaurant and The Bear Freehouse. There is also a private dining room which can be used for corporate events.
The 17th Century hotel, one of the most historic in Stratford-upon-Avon, is operated under a third-party management agreement and has the potential to add seven bedrooms with a historic planning permission.
Kit Abram, associate director in Colliers’ Hotel Capital Markets team, who is handling the sale, said: “Starting out as a 17th Century townhouse, the Swan’s Nest Hotel is located in the heart of Stratford-upon-Avon close to attractions including the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, Bancroft Gardens and Shakespeare’s birthplace.
“With significant asset management opportunities, there is a wealth of options for the new owner of the hotel to put their own stamp on the property and build upon its already considerable success.”
