The Winford Manor in Bristol, which was previously let to OYO Hotels, has been sold to Intsol Limited from a guide price of £2.6m.
It is reported that the hotel, which is set in 7.5 acres of landscaped gardens and woodlands, features 32 bedrooms.
The property is also located eight miles from Bristol city centre and two miles from Bristol airport.
Intsol Limites has already begun a “sizable” refurbishment project, which includes a renovation of the existing rooms and the addition of several new ones.
Richard Thomas, senior business agent at Christie and Co, said: “Assets near Bristol are few and far between, so when Winford Manor went to market, we received significant interest. The opportunities that the hotel’s proximity to the airport provides are endless, although it is unfair to label the manor as just an airport hotel, as it has a wealth of potential for a country house hotel.
“The property benefits from a biomass boiler, which helps to keep energy costs down. This was a huge appeal for the buyers, in line with their ESG targets, and this is becoming a higher priority for many other prospective buyers.”
He added: “We were delighted to act for Kenn in the sale and wish him every success in his future endeavours.”
