The Goring hotel in Belgravia London has announced pre-tax profits of £118,407 for the year ending 31 March 2022, up from a £4.7m loss the previous year.
The hotel also posted revenues of £10.5m, up from £1.3m and a gross profit of £8.9m up from £1m.
Directors of the five-red-AA-star hotel stated that the Goring was “in a strong position to continue its journey to recovery in the 2022-23 financial year”.
The Goring is the last family owned hotel in London, having been owned by the Goring family since 1910.
Documents submitted to Companies House stated: “ With the local and international travel restrictions relaxed, we have enjoyed the return of our loyal guests and the positive impact of months of pent-up demand.
“We have experienced a strong bounce back to trade in the last few months, mostly driven by the increased average room rates in the London market and therefore anticipate the company returning to profitability this year.”
