Hotel management Valor Hospitality has announced the appointment of Ben Gabbitas as its new resourcing and talent director.
In his role he will develop recruitment strategies along with recruitment-based technologies to help Valor attract people with the “right skills, behaviours and values”.
Valor Hospitality has a UK portfolio of 37 hotels, with almost 3,000 UK team members.
Gabbitas said: “What attracted me to Valor Hospitality was the opportunity to experience the many different brands that we operate with. Each is slightly different with different guest expectations, but all are operated with a people-first approach.
“I’m looking forward to getting a better understanding of these brands and the great people we have operating them within Valor.”
He added: “Many have the perception that hospitality is better suited to students and part-time workers. Whilst it certainly is well positioned for them, hospitality can
also offer rewarding careers and opportunities to learn and develop as you work. Already in my short time at Valor Hospitality, I have met many people who started in team member positions and have now gone on to management roles within the business.”
