Hare and Hounds, the 17th Century boutique coaching inn located in Speen, Newbury, has appointed Chris Connor as general manager.
With over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Connor has spent the last six years on the leadership team at The Lucky Onion, a prominent, award-winning boutique hotel and restaurant group centred in The Cotswolds.
Previous roles included group operations manager at Bel and The Dragon and growing challenger food brands.
Connor will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Hare and Hounds and will bring with him a wealth of experience in guest and group management, extensive capital refurbishments, procurement, and compliance.
Connor said: “I am thrilled to take on the position of general manager. I look forward to delivering an excellent guest experience working alongside my new team and supporting the continued development of the Hare and Hounds, as well as the sustained growth of the wider business.”
Drew Brown, managing director at Grosvenor Pubs and Inns, added: “We are delighted to welcome Chris Connor to the Hare and Hounds. We believe he will be a fantastic addition to our hard-working team and look forward to seeing him take on this leadership role as we enter an exciting chapter for the property.”
