The Royal George Hotel, a city centre hotel in Tay Street, Perth has been brought to market with a guide price of £2.5m.
Whilst The Royal George Hotel has its origins some 250 years ago, it is the current mid-19th Century property that forms the core of the hotel overlooking the River Tay.
The hotel has 46 letting bedrooms; an extensive range of bar, restaurant, meeting and function room facilities; plus a small gym and games room. A recent addition also includes a Gin Distillery and adjoining Gin Garden
The Royal George Hotel is being sold by the Anderson family, who have owned and operated the hotel business for over 23 years, to facilitate retirement.
Alistair Letham, a Hotel and Leisure consultant with Graham and Sibbald, who is handling the sale, said: “The Royal George Hotel is a veritable hotel institution in Perth. But more importantly it is a very well-established business with good profitability; plus bookings for 2023 are showing an excellent growth on previous years.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for new owners, whether corporate or private, to acquire a very popular city centre hotel property and business.”
