Brama, a new boutique hotel in Bromley, has announced it is set to open its doors early this summer. The hotel will feature 23 rooms and is set to be the “first offering of its kind” in the area.
The lifestyle hotel is part of the major renovation of Bromley Old Town Hall following its addition to the Heritage at Risk register in 2009, “bringing a new lease of life to the much-loved historical building” and surrounding area.
The Old Town Hall officially opened in 1907, and has since hosted the wedding of David Bowie, the local seat of government, and acted as a shelter in the event of a nuclear fallout during World War II.
Its foundations were laid in 1906 and it was extended multiple times before becoming vacant. The re-opening of Bromley Old Town Hall “signals a reinvigoration of the building’s spirit and a renewal of its purpose”.
The design-led hotel is said to be “perfectly positioned” for locals, and will benefit from close proximity to local amenities such as The Glades shopping centre and Bromley South and North train stations, which offer connection to central London within as little as 16 minutes.
As well as Brama, Bromley Old Town Hall has been transformed into a multi-use destination for Bromley. Brama joins flexible workspace by Clockwise and all-day restaurant Dorothy and Marshall.
