The Borrowdale Hotel in the Lake District has unveiled the results of its latest refurbishment following a £650k investment.
The hotel closed for two months at the beginning of this year to allow for work to commence on its reception, restaurant and two lounges.
This latest refurbishment follows a previous work to redevelop the bedrooms at the hotel which took place in spring last year.
The design project was inspired by the outdoor landscapes surrounding the hotel, whilst plush furnishings were incorporated to instil a feeling of luxury.
It said the restaurant has been converted into a “graceful, light-flooded space with an abundance of elegant touches”.
Dani Hope, director of Lake District Hotels, said: “Making big changes to the Borrowdale Hotel was always going to be a risk because there are so many returning customers who enjoy the hotel’s historic features. It was important for us to give them a space that retains the hotel’s heritage feel, but in a more distinctly modern fashion that has moved with the times.”
