Inn Collection Group (ICG) site, The Swan in Grasmere, has opened following 18 months of renovations.
The Swan became ICG’S fourth site in The Lake District when it was acquired in March 2020.
The hotel has seen its 38 rooms and restaurant given a multi-million pound makeover to remodel it in line with ICG’s business model.
The Swan was originally built in 1650 making it one of the oldest establishments in the national park.
Nigel Brown, general manager, said: “It was a really good day and it was great to see so many people take up the invitations to come and see what The Swan is about.
“We were able to show ourselves in the best light and we’ve had some really useful conversations with people like Wordsworth Grasmere, Grasmere Sports and Windermere Lake Cruises so we’re looking forward to building on what’s been a fantastic start.”
The Inn Collection Group now consists of 34 properties across the UK.
