Ruby Hotels has announced the opening of its latest UK property located in London’s Notting Hill.
The Ruby Zoe is the 16th European hotel from the Munich-based group created by founder and CEO Michael Struck. It is also the second location that Ruby has opened in London, following the opening of South Bank’s Ruby Lucy.
The 173 rooms are spread over six floors with a total area of 6,860 sqm. The rooms also include an open washstand, glass rain shower, and wall panelling made of cherry wood.
Four room categories are available for Ruby guests to choose from ranging from its ‘Nest’ Room of 15 sqm to the more premium ‘Wow’ Rooms of up to 30 sqm.
The hotel also includes a 455 sqm public area on the ground floor, which includes a bar and a retail space with a vinyl store.
In fall 2023, a specially commissioned public artwork for the London Borough of Kensington and Chelsea by British-Trinidadian artist Zak Ové will also be installed on the hotel’s façade. Ové’s installation will consist of eight floor-to-ceiling glass mosaic panels that frame the exterior at the Ruby Zoe’s entrance.
The hotel is located within walking distance of Kensington Palace, Hyde Park and Portobello Market. Notting Hill Gate Underground Station is close by offering public transport links. London Heathrow Airport is also 40 minutes away by car.
The group already operates 16 Ruby hotels, with a further 20 hotels under construction or in the planning phase. Ruby is also set to expand its presence in Asia with the joint venture Ruby Asia, founded in 2018.
