SimpsInns to open The Terrace following £250k refurb

In this episode we speak to brothers Alex and Adrien Grosjean, young entrepreneurs who have recently acquired The Residence Inn by Marriott Manchester Piccadilly. We discussed the reasons why Manchester’s visitor market is booming, and their decision to invest in this area, why they see extended-stay accommodation as a major opportunity in what is one of the UK's fastest-growing cities, how they plan to enhance their portfolio of hotels, and their advice for the next generation of hospitality disruptors.

SimpsInns, the owner and operator of hotels, restaurants and leisure activities along the Ayrshire coast, will officially open The Terrace at Si on Friday 18 August following a £250k refurbishment

The Terrace is located on the upper floor of Si, the hospitality group’s bar and restaurant, above The Potting Shed and will seat up to 110 people inside and 40 covers on the outdoor balcony, the ‘garden terrace’.

The makeover, which was led by Glasgow-based interior design company, Three Design Scotland, saw that foliage and trees “took centre stage to seamlessly bring the essence of the outdoors indoors”.

Located just 40 minutes from Glasgow, The Terrace will offer diners an inviting space where they enjoy a modern and stylish dining experience in the heart of Irvine.  Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options will be available including a pesto injected mozzarella salad.

Jack Simpson, who has managed The Terrace development, said: “Following the success of The Potting Shed earlier this year, we can’t wait to open the doors to our additional upper floor restaurant, The Terrace, from Friday 18 August and help build our reputation as Ayrshire’s trendiest new social venue.

“Our attentive and friendly staff will be at your service, so whether you’re celebrating a special occasion, enjoying an intimate meal with loved ones, or simply unwinding after a busy day, The Terrace promises a warm welcome and delicious dining.”

He added: “We’re committed to exceeding our guests’ expectations and are continually investing in our hotel and leisure facilities to make them the very best they can be.”

SimpsInns operates The Terrace and The Potting Shed at Si, as well as the group’s flagship venue, The Gailes Hotel and Spa, which is located just a five-minute drive away on Marine Drive in Irvine.

Supporting around 280 existing local jobs, SimpsInns has recently invested over £3m across its portfolio of venues along the Ayrshire coast to retain its high quality product and service, and the overall visitor experience.
