Hotel demand slows in August as room rates fall
Occupancy declined from 83% (July) to 79.6% (August) in the UK, and from 85.8% to 80.7% in the London market

The UK hotel sector has seen a slowdown in demand during August, in line with seasonal trends, but the drop in room rates last month was more acute due to the record rates in July, according to RSM’s Hotels Tracker.
