The Brookfield Hotel has been sold to new owners off a guide price of £3.4m after 16 years of ownership.
Niche hotel specialists IHCA Limited, representing the Hughes family, completed the sale of the hotel to Heartwood Collection, a leading UK hospitality group backed by Alchemy Partners.
Situated on the outskirts of the South Downs National Park in Hampshire, the hotel features 42 letting bedrooms along with an extensive ground floor bar and restaurant presence.
Andrew Theobold, director for Independent Hotel Advisors IHCA, said: “Having advised the Hughes family for many years I am delighted to have secured a sale of this wonderful hotel to Heartwood Collection, who will be undertaking a multi-million-pound refurbishment programme, taking this well-known property to a new level.
“This transaction further demonstrates that despite the economic challenges currently being faced, demand from buyers for well-located hotel and restaurants opportunities remains strong, underpinned by a current shortage of prominently located assets throughout the provincial hotel sector.”
